Straight ( hair style )

A dramatic way to show off long, black hair's powerful color and sheen is to straighten it. When straightened, the shine of the black explodes as it catches and reflects more light. When hair is still damp, run a small amount of shine serum throughout. Be careful when using the shine serum, however---a large amount of it can make the hair appear oily. Blow-dry with a paddle brush, making sure to keep your blow-dryer pointed downward to avoid creating flyaways. After hair is completely dry, use a large clip to secure most of it, leaving about a fifth of it hanging. Use a flat iron to carefully straighten the layer, and remove the clip to let another small layer of the remaining hair down. Repeat this until all sections have been straightened, and brush out before spritzing a small amount of hair spray over it to hold.
